CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN ARTISTS IN STUTTGART

27 July / 30 August 2018

The third exhibition of 2018 takes place inside the Stuttgart City Hall (Rathaus Stuttgart), a building built in 1956 in a sober post-war style and characterized by a bell tower almost 61 meters high. Inside you can admire one of the few passenger lifts still in use, and even take it for a test drive. The building hosted the solo exhibition of Pier Toffoletti and the collective one by the Contemporary Italian Artists on the initiative of the Italian Cultural Institute of Stuttgart in collaboration with the Municipality of Stuttgart and with the patronage of Associazione Artistico Culturale del Friuli Venezia Giulia (Aura) and Artestruttura. For the occasion, the volume edited by Giorgio Mondadori was printed. Critical text by Paolo Coretti and introduction by Adriana Cuffaro. On the front and back covers, works by Pier Toffoletti.

"The exhibition follows the common thread of those staged in previous years in the prestigious location of the Stuttgart City Hall, honoured by the interest and appreciation of the public. "ItaliArts" continues to offer us an unprecedented journey through the most recent creations by artists from different Italian regions, with various expressive choices influenced by both Italian and European artistic currents.”
