“CHE DICI TOTÒ?”

This is the catalogue of the exhibition held in the splendid setting of Castel dell'Ovo in Naples and dedicated to Totò, the genius of the gag but also an icon of an Italy that, having left the war behind and in the midst of an economic boom, enjoyed watching his films and listening to his unsettling and surreal jokes. About one hundred artists, including students from the Academy of Fine Arts, pay homage to the "prince" of comedy through painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, design, installations and digital art. An interesting comparison of techniques, materials, styles and inspirational movements. Intriguing and full of ideas, the book is dedicated to the many who love the great Totò and wish to remember him through the works of contemporary artists.
