SULLE TRACCE DI MOZART

“Sulle Tracce di Mozart” is the title of the exhibition and publishing initiative hosted from 24 January to 27 February 2025 at the exhibition spaces of the prestigious Società Dante Alighieri in Salzburg, an Italian cultural institution whose aim is to protect and disseminate the Italian language and culture in the world. It is a member of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC). The group exhibition, organised by Artestruttura, in collaboration with the Società Dante Alighieri and the de Claricini Dornpacher Foundation, presents around fifty artists and is curated by Leo Strozzieri, author of the critical introductory text of the catalogue “Sulle Tracce di Mozart“, published by Giorgio Mondadori. The book presents the artists through biographical information and images of the works. On the cover “Strumentalizzazione”, a work by Alda Bòscaro. Two-dimensional works prevail in the exhibition space and in the volume, with oil paintings, acrylics, mixed media and digital art, but there is also the presence of some sculptures made of recycled materials.
"To celebrate the 90th anniversary of the glorious Dante Alighieri in Salzburg, an exhibition is proposed by the Friulian publisher Artestruttura of Giancarlo and Morgan Caneva, distinguished figures of refined humanistic sensibility, which documents at least in part the current Italian artistic research in its twofold aspect, the figurative and the aniconic in its most varied declinations, ranging from lyrical abstractionism to geometric abstractionism, from informal art to so-called Arte Povera, as well as that entire segment of research that Joseph Kosuth called Conceptual Art, for which the priority is no longer aesthetic value. An exhibition, therefore, in the sign of Dante, who we know spent his life in search of that illustrious vulgar compared to a perfumed panther (panthera redolens) able to spread fragrance in every city, but which does not reside in any."
